The newly appointed NADMO Boss for the Weija/Gbawe Municipal Assembly; Hon. Emmanuel Adu Boahene, last weekend visited flood prone areas in Oblogo and its environs.
He was led to the said areas by the executives of the Oblogo Landlords Association.
At the flood prone sites in Oblogo, a community of the Municipality, he assured the Landlords of his commitment to ensure that temporal measures are put in place in the short and medium periods to avert possible calamity that will be caused by flooding.
He mentioned that, he has lived in the Municipality for a very long time which puts him a better position to appreciate the issues of flooding in the said community very well. “Each time the gateways of the Weija dam are opened, communities along the paths of the dam way experienced flooding and it’s related effects” he noted.
He stated that his outfit is committed in ensuring that flood victims are well taken care of. “I have the support of the current MCE-Hon. Patrick K.B. Kumor to help me solve all the flood issues in the Municipality”, he remarked passionately.
