The ruling New Patriotic Party’s Youth Organizer for the Greater Accra Region and also Assemblyman in the Region last Saturday led some teeming youth to embark on a clean up exercise in Kokomlemle.
The youth numbered over 400 trooped the principal streets of kokomlemle on Saturday 26th of August, 2018 to keep the streets and choked gutters clean.
In attendance was the special guest of honour-Hon. Mohammed Nii Adjei Sowah, the mayor of Accra.
In a close up interview with illustrious Youth Organizer, he admitted that the inner cities of the Region are engulfed with filth, hence the need to join the youth to keep the city clean.
He stated that though the Accra Mayor is doing his bid to keep the cities clean, it is imperative on the part of Ghanaians to exercise that part of their responsibility enjoined them by the constitution of the land to keep their surroundings clean.
He recounted an old moment where people kept their surroundings clean and were made to face the law. This is what he called the ‘Sama Sama’ days with was the sole responsibility on the shoulders of the Town Council to ensure that our surroundings are kept clean.
He and applauded and lauded the initiative of the Mayor to keep Accra clean.
