MP applauds electorates for NPP victory in Ayawaso West Wuogon

The ever hardworking lawmaker for Weija-Gbawe Constituency, who doubles as Deputy Health Minister under the Akufo-Addo led administration, Hon. Tina Naa Ayeley Mensah has applauded Ayawaso West wuogon Constituency electorates for rewarding the NPP with a resounding victory in the just ended by-election.

The election which saw Madam Lydia Seyram Alhassan emerged as winner is one of the cleanest elections held under the 4th republic; I welcome her to the House of Parliament, she stated.

According to her, the victory in the said constituency could not have come at a better time than now, particularly looking at the massive work done by the party under the able leadership of His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

She mentioned some 41 major achievemts of the NPP administration in just 2 years.

Among these achievements included the implementation of the Free SHS, restoration of the nursing and teacher traineees allowance, restoration of confidence in the National Health Insurance Scheme by setting off the accumulated debt of GHc 1.2 billion left behind by the erstwhile NDC administration led by former John Dramani Mahama, establishment of a Zongo development fund; and the roll out of the National Identity Card.

“These achievements and several others are the unprecedented results of the NPP led by the President Akufo-Addo”, she statement vehemently.

She said the victory of the NPP in the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election will boost the confidence Ghanaians have in the New Patriotic Party. She was grateful to the deciders of the said by-election.

The by-election saw the NPP winning massively with 12,041 votes representing 68.8% and the NDC loosing with 5,341 votes representing 30.05 in percentage terms.
